Five UNB Fencers Compete at International Tournament

Among the nineteen fencers from New Brunswick who competed at the “Challenge des Nations” international tournament on the April 22-24 weekend in Blainville, QC, five were from the UNB Fencing Club. The tournament saw UNB fencers test their skills against high-level fencers from Cuba, Argentina, Great Britain, France, and Spain.
Congratulations to our UNB fencers on their strong performance at this competition.

David Themens: 11 in senior epee
Mitchell Clark: 21 in senior epee
Raphael Bradley: 10 in senior sabre,10 in junior sabre, 9 in cadet sabre
Cameron Haigh: 16 in junior sabre, 8 in cadet sabre
Wendy Yano: 7 in senior women's sabre
UNB fencers are now preparing to wrap up their season with the provincial championships to be held in Fredericton May 7th-8th and the Senior and University National Championships to be held in Longueuil, QC, May 20th-22nd.
