Basic Writing
Daily task: open the Journal Writing page. Every day you are supposed to turn in your journal notebook with a journal entry with at least 50 words (beginners) / 100 words (intermediate to advanced students).
Writing task 1. Write a 1-paragraph, 40-word essay on some basic information about yourself. Include your name, nickname, your occupation, your marital status, your nationality, etc. Describe yourself, your family, etc. You are welcome to write more than 40 words. Click here for a sample essay.
Writing task 2. Write a 2-paragraph, 60-word essay on some basic information about yourself and the place you live. Include your name, nickname, your occupation, your marital status, your nationality, your address, city, neighborhood, a reference point to your house, etc. Describe yourself, your family, etc. You are welcome to write more than 60 words. Use at least once: the verbs like, have and live
Writing task 3. Write an e-mail message to one of your classmates thanking him/her for the help given in a school work.
Writing task 4. Role-play: asking and answering questions. Fill out the form below with information about one of your classmates.

Writing task 5. [As part of credit 4] Write a 3-to-4-paragraph, 150-word essay on some basic information about yourself and the place you live. Include your name, nickname, your occupation, your marital status, your nationality, your address, city, neighborhood, a reference point to your house, your hobbies, likes and dislikes, etc. Describe yourself, your family, etc. You are welcome to write more than 150 words. You may also add photos and other visual clues to illustrate yourself, your family, your school, your city, etc.
Writing task 6. Write a note to your professor apologizing for not being able to make it to class today.
Writing task 7: Write a postcard to your professor from the city (or State) where you live in. Include: greeting, addresses, date, and a description of your city (or State) and how you like living there.
Writing task 8. Make sentences using the vocabulary, expressions and structures you have contact with during your classes.
