Paul Gluck The irony of her bitching about the 36 dollars a year that come out of her paycheck for assistance, and not bringing up the 4000 dollars a year that comes out of her paycheck to give companies like Wal-Mart Billion dollar corporate subsidies.

Joe Perryman First of all, don't criticize the military. It is estimated that 1 to 2 percent of the military receive food stamps. Think about it. This lady had zero knowledge about that guy's situation.

Michael Alan Webster Self-righteous conservatives are just about the lowest form of life there is.

I'd really like to know what this woman would do if she suffered a catastrophic event - after setting up a "gofundme" account, that is.

Pat Ruddy If it were up here in Canada, I'd tell her I didn't want MY tax dollars to pay for the (publicly funded) healthcare she'll need to deal with her impending (obesity-related) diabetes...then again we don't have food stamp programs in Canada - the poor are forced to rely on food banks when they can't make ends meet...

Dave Kasprzycki So she's going to complain about the roughly 7 cents out her tax dollar that goes to pay for programs such as food share, but not complain about 27 cents for the already generously funded military, or the 10 cents that goes to social security that she will never see again? .......yeah makes total sense

Brett Richards Wal Mart is such a shit company they're a huge corporation but they can't afford to pay their employees a decent living wage that would keep them off of food stamps and then they actually get that money as well because the employees end up buying their groceries at Walmart.

Steph Sodders People like this woman make me so angry. You never know what someone else is going through and it's certainly not your place to judge. Maybe he just got laid off and is currently looking for another job. Is he supposed to not feed his family??
