Born in Surulere, Lagos. Nigeria's Emmy Boss-Thug first gathered inspiration to become a professional musician at a tender and has since worked towards it. While as a student of AIFPU. He performed on stage concerts, and joined several entertainment clubs, which helped build his talent. He was strongly motivated by friends and fans to continue with his career as a professional musician, he heed their advice and proceeded to Willy's studio in 2011 to record his first single "HUG ME" Featuring his friend XKD, produced by Hushbeatz. He became staple in the studio recording several tracks to include "HOLD ME, SCOLD ME", "PUT IT DOWN" The songs became well known and subsequently he became a well-known household name and became prominent in his local environs, and is a great performer on stage shows throughout western and eastern Nigeria. He realized he had to build on his talent and also invest towards it, so he took the advice of his Dj friend, to set up a persona studio, to help him record his works, and also render studio services to other up and coming artists. So he set up his studio in Ajah-Lekki Lagos and named it "THUGS FAMILY RECORDS" Where he started recording great hits like "ONE CHANCE" "PENETRATE" "BAK IN D DAYS FT. BENSON KUTI" "ROLL YA WAIST FT. EVY & KENDO BEATZ" "TURN ME ON" "TRUST ISSUES" ETC. He is a fast growing hip hop artist and dance-hall rapper.
He looks forward to forever taking Naija Dance-hall and hip hop to the pinnacle of the international stage, by way of his versatility.
He is strongly influenced by Dance-hall and Hip Hop and inspired by Artists like Vybz Kartel, Young Jeezy, Bun B, Olamide, D'banj, Don Jazzy. ETC
