The STEVAL-MKI062V2 is the second generation of the iNEMO™ module family. It combines accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers with pressure and temperature sensors to provide 3-axis sensing of linear, angular and magnetic motion, complemented with temperature and barometer/altitude readings, representing the new ST 10-DOF (degrees of freedom) platform.
 
Based on the previous version, the STEVAL-MKI062V2 represents another step forward in miniaturization, integrating five ST sensors: a 2-axis roll-and-pitch gyroscope, a 1-axis yaw gyroscope, a 6-axis geomagnetic module, a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor.
 
This 10-DOF inertial system represents a complete hardware platform which can be used in numerous applications such as virtual reality, augmented reality, image stabilization, human machine interfaces and robotics.
 
A complete set of communication interfaces with various power supply options in a small-size form factor (4 x 4 cm) make iNEMO V2 a flexible and open demonstration platform.

  • LSM303DLH: 6-axis geomagnetic module: ±2 g / ±4 g / ±8 g linear acceleration full scale, magnetic field configurable full scale ±1.3 to ±8.1 gauss, I2C digital output
  • LPS001DL: pressure sensor 300-1100 mbar absolute full scale with I2C digital output and barometer
  • STLM75: temperature sensor with -55 to +125°C range and I2C digital interface




iNEMO inertial modules integrate different types of sensors to offer more compact, robust and easy-to-assemble solutions compared to discrete MEMS products. iNEMO inertial modules deliver more accurate and reliable sensor performance combined with a reduction of the footprint by up to 85%, depending on the solution selected. ST`s iNEMO hardware and software solutions include:

  • System-in-packages (SiP) that integrate accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer in a monolithic 6-axis or 9-axis solution
     
  • INEMO-M1 system-on-boards that are 9-axis IMUs with an STM32 microcontroller on board and are ready to use and programmable by the users
     
  • iNEMO Engine, ST`s sensor-fusion software suite based on dedicated filtering and prediction algorithms. iNEMO Engine compares different data coming from multiple sensors in a smart way independently of environmental conditions to reach the best performance.

The complete portfolio of iNEMO hardware and software solutions brings motion sensing systems to the level required for the most demanding applications, such as enhanced gesture recognition/gaming, augmented reality, indoor navigation and localization-based services.



The INEMO-M1 is the first 9-axis motion sensing system-on-board (SoB) of the iNEMO module family.

It integrates multiple MEMS sensors from ST and a powerful computational core: a 6-axis digital e-compass, a 3-axis digital gyroscope and an ARM®Cortex™-M3 32-bit MCU.

This 9-DoF inertial system represents a fully integrated solution that can be used in a broad variety of applications such as robotics, personal navigation, gaming and wearable sensors for healthcare, sports and fitness.

A complete set of communication interfaces and motion-sensing capabilities in a very small size form factor (13x13x2 mm) and the possibility to embed ST’s sensor fusion software make the INEMO-M1 system-on-board a flexible solution for high-performance, effortless orientation estimation and motion-tracking applications.
