Most flora so far has been around my house situated in a 200 acres complex, a wild , wild country on the Amby Valley Road, after Lion's Point, Nature Complex, next to Fantasy Resort. I cant to predict from your image. Most probably this is Hitchenia caulina an endemic ginger species to Maharashtra. Or Any Hedychium species For confirmation need more flowering and habit photo.

In most of the villages when villagers say "Aarrarrot", i think they mean Arrow-Root. Its rich in starch. One can spot thousands of them at "Raireshwar". In my mother-tongue, Konkani (Mangalore) too, we say it something like this: RRroot !!
Hitchenia caulina Zingiberaceae Very nice. These are in fairly large numbers. Also found in nearby areas of similar altitudes like Rayreshwar, Mahabaleshwar, etc. is it the source of Arrowroot powder? Nice photographs ...
