Willd., however , this is an important ingredient of Thai Cuisine Tom Yam Kung soup and I brought this plant from Thailand Looks different from other images at Alpinia galanga Thank you …! I guess so! It seems to be Alpinia conchigera present wild in NE India and Andaman Islands. In fact it is Thai ginger for used for Thai recipe and net gives Alpinia galanga (L.)
