Mcromelum minutum (syn Micromelum pubescens, syn Micromelum integrifolium). It should be Micromelum integerrimum as per Micromelum. Name Micromelum pubescens Blume is very confused in Indian litrature as available on net as it is shown as syn. of Micromelum integerrimum at some places while being shown as syn. of Micromelum minutum at somewhere else. I think this is Trichilia connaroides, Meliaceae There are quite a number these plants at this place but all are small (say 10-12 ft high). For me, it is Paramignya griffithii Hook.f. of Rutaceae. The plant is small about the size of Murrya sps. and is a good nectaring species of some Swallow tail butterflies. This is Micromelum minutum of Rutaceae. We have very good population in Semi-evergreen forests of Odisha. Its commonly associated with Walsura trifoliata, Mallotus ohilippensis, Canthium glabrum, Ficus sps., Saraca asoca etc. near stream. The fruits on crushing emits smell which reminds one of the smell of Acorous calamus. ( b ) Identity 2 This is an orchid collected from the foothills of Darjeeling. ( c ) Identity 3 Another orchid which is very common at Cooch Behar. It is definitely not Rynchostylis retusa. ( d ) Identity 4 This is the imge of a medium size tree. The tree is common at Cooch Behar but unfortunately I could not find out even the local name of the tree. Please help to identify.
