17082011-BS-001 citrus Shrub for Id from arya PG College Panipat Haryana: pls id this Citrus shurb shot from Arya PG College Campus Panipat Haryana (220 mts) on 25-6-11 it is a garden shrub about 6 feet high fruit size about .5 to .75 inche only. Nurserymen says it is Chinese orange Citrus microcarpa??? may be a bad guess I think u r right ... Watch for the fruits and then decide. Possibly Citrus Aurantium. Kindly go through the link http://www.motherherbs.com/citrus-aurantium.html At first I thought it may be pomelo, but pomelo flowers have only 4 petals (hope petals is the right term). I agree with whoever said that to wait till the fruits appear... watch'em mature and then open up one, if its your own tree or your study tree Rutaceae Week, follow-up, "Names of Plants in India", 4th instalment: Here are some transcripted names that must be correct for they come from a Tamil speaking botanist.
