I can only think about 2 features here The stamens of older flowers are black and the overall dried flowers also look black (Sorry I didn't get time to check in the flora about the key) Well, sir, from my side, it was more of a process of elimination of species rather than narrowing down to this particular one. Please see these: 1 and 2. I knew it could not be Ixora polyantha or the other associated species- Ixora leucantha because they are much larger flowers as I have observed.
