Rosaceae week : Sorbaria tomentosa: Rosaceae week : Sorbaria tomentosa from Manali Shrub 3m height with long pinnate leaves. Large terminal branched clusters of white flowers. Flower size 5-7mm. Petals rounded. Leaflets lanceolate Yes .. The leaves don't seem healthy. Was it unusual season/conditions?

Common name Kashmir False Spirea. Picture taken at Pahalgam, Kashmir on the 6th of Sept,11. Had found these on the banks of the Lidder River.

On my walk last Sunday, I found this shrub growing next to the water. There were many of these around with their dry seedpods hanging like tassels. I dug up my old pictures from the same area from last summer and are posting them here together. It is likely Sorbaria tomentosa (or perhaps S. sorbifolia). Please advise.
