Cant see the larger image but the inflorescence pattern in the 'Type sheet' of R. hexagynus looks very different..
Have a look on the following link plz.
http://plants.jstor.org/specimen/ph00021505
You may be right ..., yours is interesting Rubus with short axillary inflorescence
Of course, it is really interesting........
first you please workout the plant. All the best........
Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately don't have the specimen with me right now. Hope somebody will identify it with the help of fotos only.
Flowers singly or at the most 2-3 together is something not found by me in any Rubus species, not even in FBI. Could we think of any other genus??
To me appears close to Rubus acuminatus Sm., but it is different.

It is not R.acuminatus but looks more close to Rubus paniculatus Sm.

Inflorescence and leaves looks different from Rubus paniculatus
Does not look like matching.
Rubus hexagynus - efloraofindia
Rubus paniculatus Sm.
Inflorescence and leaves looks different from Rubus paniculatus
Actually I have verified with ... and he is with the same opinion.

Looks different as per these links also.
