Altitude : ca. 1,100 m.
Flowering : 21-04-2007
Fruiting : 13-01-2006
Habit : small to middle-sized tree
Habitat : Grows wild
Looks like some Pyracantha sp.
Pyracantha - species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available)
As per this there is only species - Pyracantha crenulata , but post by ... looks a bit different. 
May be some Cotoneaster species ?-

There has been always  some confusion in identifying the plant species when dealing with a few species of  Pyracantha and Cotoneaster.
I have seen a few species of these plants in California . But do not have photographs. I think the following link might help you in arriving at the right species  :

My first guess, with no research, would be Photinia sp.
Is it Photinia integrifolia ?
