There is no doubt in ... id as Duchesnea indica (Jacks.) Focke of Rosaceae. Seems to be Duchesnea indica. We have these aplenty here and to the best of my knowledge it's as others pointed before me a Duchesnea indica or a Himalayan Strawberry. My daughter and I like eating them even if they are quite tasteless. There are fresh ones starting now. Here is one I saw today.
