Rosaceae Week: Frauenmantel from my garden in Ritterhude.: Frauenmantel from my garden in Ritterhude.
Fotos taken mostly in may in the last few years.

Frauenmantel = women's coat and suggests that it is used in Volksmedicin to treat typical women deseases.
Also used in folk medicine, for the treatment of wounds, bleeding, gynecological disorders, ulcers, abdominal pain, kidney stones, headaches and other complaints.

The name Alchemilla derives from alchemy. It means little alchemist.

It is also planted as a decorative plant, doesn't need much care.
