Sharing the flowering of the mangrove Kandelia candel, seen by me in Sep '10 at Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Goa-mangrove section. Family :Rhizophoraceae This was observed growing naturally and also planted. Small evrgreen tree. Soon you will have a catalogue of them.... it seems... Never seen so many mangrove flowers before, thank you... Noticed a bridge not too far from this last pic's greenery-patch, so what do environmentalists think of the future of this mangrove with encroaching pollution that the traffic will bring and silt deposits that the bridge-pillions will encourage, I wonder... or has that been studied here or elsewhere on the west coast.......???
