Thalictrum reniforme Wall., Pl. Asiat. Rar. 2: 26 26 1831. (Syn: Thalictrum menthosma Stocks ex Lecoy.; Thalictrum neurocarpum Royle); Thalictrum reniforme (Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh): Thalictrum reniforme Family: Ranunculaceae Herb, stem 3 m, usually much branched, glandular when young. Leaves large, several time divided; leflets numerous, rounded-heart shaped, lobed or toothed, glandular or minute hairy. Flowers liliac or mauve, 2- 3.5 cm across, in branched glandular or hairy cluster. Sepals 4, reddish pink, ovate or orbicular-ovate. Stamens many, filament filiform; anther yellow, linear, apex mucronate. Carpels; style, slightly longer than ovary; stigma Fl. : Jul--Oct. Elevation: 2800 - 3500 m Recorded Form: Tawang Dist, Arunachal Pradesh Nice to see another colour in Thalictrum The Thalictrum reniforme is confusing with the Thalictrum chelidonii. Please check the following two link for the T. chelidonii and T. reniforme from the eflora of China. Then only it is possible to finalize the species. http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200008182 http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200008229 This should be Thalictrum reniforme. All other closer species, T. chelidonii, T. delavayi, are hairless - the pictures here show a prominently pubescent plant. The only sticky point is that Flora of China mentions the length of the flower-stalks of Thalictrum reniforme, as 0.8--2.5 mm. I suspect that is an error - it should be 0.8--2.5 cm - but that has to be checked from some other source.
