Clematis Species seen in New Jersey in June,17.
A cultivated, garden plant.

Another Clematis Vine, growing together with the blue flowered one.
Would this also be Clematis X 'Jackmanii'?
Seen in June,17.

I don't see blue. same as you previous case today with the label
Thanks for validating. Later on searching, I find both blue and purple flowers under this Cultivar.
yes but your pictures I don't see blue. is it my eyes or is it true. do you see blue? in addition to the violetish ones
These flowers are Purple, in the subject line that you have been missing.
The second post had purple flowers.
Thank you for the clarification.
I see when you submit very similar plants right next to each other … my recent eyescan get confused. so both your cases are purple?

Clematis viticella L., Sp. Pl. 543 1753.
syn: Anemone viticella K.Krause; Clematis baccata Gross
A woody climber with large beautiful blue flowers often grown on supports, walls or fences
Photographed from Hazuribagh Garden in Srinagar, Kashmir in June 2010
I think it may be Clematis 'Jackmanii'  as per images, details and references herein.
It is also their in FOI as Clematis viticella L., needs to be corrected..
Clematis x jackmanii as explained in another post.
I hope you are right ..., Looking at the confusion on various websites, I think it would be right to name it as C. x jackmanii (both GRIN and Kew database), TPL and Plants of the World Online list C. jackmanii, but even those websites which name it Clematis 'Jackmanii' (as you have suggested) accept it to be interspecific hybrid.
