Kalatope September id al290911: location Kalatope, Chamba H.P.
Altitude 2100 mts
Habit Shrub
Habitat wild
Season September
Height 2 mts

Clematis grata i think
Many of your plants matches with Chakrata plants
I am sure ...... since Chakrata is also situated roughly at the same altitude as Dalhousie (around 2100 mts).. which I suppose make things a bit easy for me.. for my identifications
Yes ... height is amost similar i think Chakrata is arround 2400-2900 mts

Please upload a better view of leaves. The flowers appear whiter than C. grata. The leaves inj two species are very distinct.
Another view of the leaves sir...
C. grata for sure

Clematis grata ABAUG2016/66 : 3 posts by 2 authors. 10 images.
I noticed this climber yesterday ascending on the support cable of an electrical pole in town. I visited it with my camera this morning and later found another climber covering a whole fence. I took a branchlets for measurements. The flowers are roughly 2.5cm across with each of the four petals (rough edges) measuring about 11mm x 5mm. Pedicels roughly 15mm with a pair of stipules in the middle of the length. Leaflets 5, more or less equal in size. Smell pleasant but not as nice as C. montana or C. buchananiana
This is the third Clematis for me here.
