Aconitum violaceum (Ranunculaceae) is a high alpine herb found above 4000m altitude in Uttarakhand. It start blooming in September usually and find little time to mature its seeds.
Photographed in Nilkanth valley close to Nilkanth glacial moraine near Badrinath.
Beautiful picture ... and the color too.
Despite of its beauty the tuber at base is highly poisonous.

Seen this herb en-route Dhel pass at GHNP at an altitude of approx. 3800m.

Correctly identified .... It is A.violaceum.
In Uttarakhand it rarely grow below 4000m altitude.
