Here it is in dry rocky slope (wall actually) but also quite common on shady moist rocky slopes. Thanks for that information ... I had spotted something yellow from a distance and thinking of Yellow Flax approached the area only to be pleasantly surprised. A new flower for me this year. Flowers odourless, ca. 12mm across, 10mm tall, sepals hairy reaching more than halfway up the corolla tube, pedicels 1-1.5cm, leaves in basal rosettes 3.5cm x 5cm. No farina under the leaves but hairs along the veins. Flowers appeared to be both pin-type and thrum-type.
