Shot at Surya Binayak Bhaktapur Nepal on 5 July 2016 at 5500 ft. If I am to guess, this can be Maesa sp. According to the color of fruits and the leaf texture it slightly matches with the Maesa japonica (Thunb.) Moritzi. ex Zoll. but I am not sure. But it is not recorded in Nepal as per available records. Please advise. pl. see comparative images at Maesa in efi along with other details Look like Maesa for me too... Does not matches images of Maesa japonica at http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-japanese-maesa-maesa-japonica-with-fruits-76141279.html Pl. check other images as per Species in annotated checklist of Flowering plants of Nepal In Maesa, flowers are in axillary racemes. http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200016854. Here it looks like cauliflorous. To me it may be a species of Rapanea of Myrsinnaceae family. According to the listing of Myrsine in Nepal and leaf and cluster of fruits it looks closer to Myrsine capitellata. Request your final opinion. I think Myrsine capitellata is correct SK232DEC09-2016:ID : 10 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (8) Location: Telkot, Nagarkot, Kathmandu , Nepal Altitude: 5000 ft. Date: 8 September 2016 Ficus species? I guess Myrsinaceae sp. A species of Rapanea There is only one Rapanea listed in Nepal Rapanea capitellata (Wall.) Mez. which accepted name is Myrsine seguinii H. Lév. (accepted name). Is this the one? Earlier images were shot in 5 July 2016 bearing pink fruits and the later shot in 8 September 2016 bearing green fruits. So some confusion is still there. Thanks, ... Yeah, I noticed the difference in color. SK224DEC04-2016:ID : 7 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (2) Location: Pilot Baba Ashram, Bhaktapur, Nepal Altitude: 5200 ft.
