Herb for ID, Rajasthan NAW-JAN15-04 : 7 posts by 5 authors. Attachments (4)
Kindly identify this prostrate herb photographed at a lakebed in Ajmer district, Rajasthan in December 2014.
Flower about 2-3 mm.
Polygonum plebeium
I think this is quite distinct from Polygonum plebeium..
Leaves are linear-lanceolate, acuminate and much hirsute..
I can be, however, very easily proved wrong by variability in this species..

This rather looks like Polygonum paronychioides C. A. Mey.

Please also check P. afghanicum Meisn, if it is distributed over there. Key can be found at - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=126398#KEY-1-9
and description with special note at -
Finally, please also wait for more feedbacks form others.
