Persicaria ..???
Persicaria species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available on net)

Pl check with Persicaria assamica.
Thank you. But it is not listed in Nepal and could not find any image in the net for matching.
I could find one herbarium image at http://www.gbif.org/occurrence/912626301
Pl. check.
As per Flora of China, Persicaria assamica is characterized by having a spicate inflorescence, which is not the case here. I will check with other literature and revert.
Sorry for my previous statement ''Persicaria assamica is characterized by having a spicate inflorescence, which is not the case here''. Actually, the inflorescence is spicate here. Don't know how I overlooked it. Anyway, found the type sheet of P. assamicum here (http://sweetgum.nybg.org/science/vh/specimen_details.php?irn=155978). And I am not much convinced with my previous ID i.e. P. assamicum.
My another guess would be P. hydropiper, a polymorphic species, known to have many varieties. But before finalizing it, try to dissect the plant (If the specimen is available). Nut characteristic is also an important character in Persicaria.
Other members may add.
Thank you ...
But don't you think leaf patterns are completely different?

Yes, I also think so. Therefore, have not confirmed the ID. One needs to dissect it and then only we can make a comparison.

After your first reply I went to the spot but unfortunately but the
plant was not there due to road expansion !

I am afraid the flowering pattern and leaf pattern/ shape looks different to P. hydropiper.

Persicaria ...???

Some species of Persicaria....?
Does not it look like SK362 02FEB-2017:ID  ??

Yes to me appear close.
Thank you but ID still pending !

But it was identified in your another thread.
I think same as in another thread

It is not yet properly identified so far I guess !

I am afraid the flowering pattern and leaf pattern/ shape looks different to P. hydropiper.
