Perhaps Persicaria lapathifolia, photographed along Nagin Lake in Kashmir, please validate. As per my observations, inflorescence are densely flowered and not interrupted in P. lapathifolia. Requesting to please validate ID of this Persicaria captured near Manali, HP in October 2014. I hope this is Persicaria hydropiper (based on FoI pics). In old threads I have been told that P. hydropiper has lax flowered inflorescence. FoC or FoP also supports that. Yet overall looks of this plant is like that of P. hydropier - http://herbier.sesa-aude.fr/Polygonum-hydropiper. Please ensure leaf base is cuneate which is not clear in the attached pictures. The plants I photographed are growing next to cultivated fields. These are about three-feet tall and growing in clusters. I think this is Persicaria hydropiper but I am not entirely sure.
