Plant ID_KARGIL : 8 posts by 5 authors. Attachments (2) Pls help in the ID of this plant from Kargil. Grows on dry slopes among rocks. Exact location, where Suru river meets Drass river. Axillary cluster of pedicellate flowers, opposite leaves indicate possibility of some Cynanthum/ Vincetoxicum species (Asclepiadaceae). To me, it looks like a Fallopia sp. (Polygonaceae). Pl check ... is probably more closer to the correct ID. I suggested Asclepiadaceae based on opposite leaves. In first picture leaves look alternate. May now be searched in Fallopia sp. Thanks ... Yes ... is close to ID. I checked for Fallopia convolvulus and F. dumetorum. Still, I am not fully sure. ... may advice...
