Loved seeing this flower on the ground. As per wiki, the species name amplexicaulis means "clasping or "embracing the stem". This behavior can be seen in the leaf pic attached. :)

With these images, I think it is difficult to say that it is Bistorta amplexicaulis as per images and details herein.
