Microstegium vagans. The depression on the spikelet is the identifying character of Microstegium. Also the leaf base is narrowed almost into a petiole.

One more grass for ID ABAUG01/25 : 4 posts by 2 authors. 3 images.
This one was growing next to the other grass I posted earlier. The leaves were not too dissimilar (narrower and darker though) but the flowers I felt were. Please advise.

Here's a new grass species addition to site.
Microstegium vimineum
Common Name - Nepalese Browntop/ Japanese Stiltgrass
Family - Poaceae
The species can be easily recognised by having leaves with silver midrib and no waviness.
Habitat - Found in shady moist conditions along brooklet under Bamboo canopy.
Photographed at Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh
In October 2019
This is Microstegium ciliatum
Microstegium vimineum usually has solitary racemes and sometimes with a branch.
Thanks ... for correcting.
..., As per gbif Microstegium ciliatum is synonym of Microstegium fasciculatum
Moreover FOC also mentioned that both species are closely related and even difficult to distinguish at least in herbarium.
Here's the link
So i think for now following gbif we should merge the Microstegium ciliatum page into Microstegium fasciculatum...
Thanks, ... Done the needful pl.
