I water it when the soil which is well draining is dry to touch and give it medium light. I see that the new leaves are quite yellow and not green. Can somebody explain why? What am I not doing right? Younger leaves generally light green or yellowish green. Watch for some more time till they mature. If the problem persist add cow dung manure (handful) . If you are keeping the plant in a shadow area bring to semi shade area.. in addition you might be over-watering it. usually that is the the problem with african violets and peperomias as newly acquired houseplants reduce watering (only water when about 3-4 cms of the top of the soil feels kind-a dry also its better to water from the bottom, put a saucerful of water under the pot for a few hours second reason could be light and nitrogen content, so also follow the advice given by … I notice you have left it in the plastic pot, most of the houseplant peperomias are succulent, succulents do better in terra cotta pots, let their roots breathe, and pebbles in the drip catching saucer below the pot works wonders.
