Garden Bush for ID : Oman : 240612 : AK-1: A very common cultivated, garden bush, Height approx. 6-8 feet.
Pictures taken on 15/6/12 in Muscat.
Not seen it flowering.
Resembles the Kewda.
Pandanus species?
A species of Pandanus, I guess.
Could this be Pandanus tectorius, Hala, Screw Pine?
Adding few more pictures taken recently.
The bush was trimmed, there by giving a better look of the stems & roots.
It could be Kewda, with root caps visible.
It is one of the cultivated Pandanus species.
Most of the cultivated species are develops from Pandanus odorifer by breeding techniques.
