At what altitude it was growing sir?
Biophytum veldkampii is a low altitude species ie 100-300 m 
Interesting, and more interesting to know that the plant is named after one of my favourite botanists, J.F.Veldkamp!! We actually worked on two articles together and he is one of the best experts in the world for Latin translation too.
