Orchid for ID-PC-46-29.09.2015 : 6 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2) please identify the orchid from Bhim Tal, Uttarakhanda. There are two orchids. 1641 - Rhynchostylis retusa 1643 - Pholidota articulata First one seems to be some Aerides sp. & second one is Pholidota sp. the sp. may be articulata as stem looks jointed in pics. So you have to check flowers for confirmation of id. I am sorry but I was pretty sure about my id for these two species. Its a Rhynchostylis retusa and you can see the retuse leaf apex. Aerides will have bilobed apex and usually its well folded. Second pic is Pholidota articulata
