Date of Coll.: August 2010
Spiranthes sinensis would be my wild guess
Oh no sir!!
I am attaching a photograph of Spiranthes sinensis taken during the same trip for your kind perusal.
This plant is something different. Waiting for our Orchidopedia's (Dr. ...) response.

Thank you ... for showing the typical specimen of S. sinensis
On my desktop I see two different taxa posted separately. Upper green flowers are
Peristylus elisabethae (Duthie) R.K.Gupta, Fl. Nainital.: 351 (1968).
Syn:
Habenaria elisabethae Duthie, J. Asiat. Soc. Bengal, Pt. 2, Nat. Hist.71: 44 (1902).
Herminium elisabethae (Duthie) Tang & F.T.Wang, Bull. Fan Mem. Inst.Biol. 7: 129 (1936).

Distributed in China, Tibet, India, Nepal and Eastern Himalaya.

Lower red one is
Spiranthes sinensis (Pers.) Ames, Orchidaceae 2: 53 (1908).
Syn:
Neottia sinensis Pers., Syn. Pl. 2: 511 (1807).
Gyrostachys australis var. sinensis (Pers.) Blume, Fl. Javae Nov.Ser.: 108 (1859).
Spiranthes australis var. sinensis (Pers.) Gagnep. in H.Lecomte, Fl.Indo-Chine 6: 546 (1933).
This is a widely distributed plant from Eastern European, Russia to South West Pacific

I rechecked with one of my friend. This plant should be Peristylus duthiei.
Sorry for the mistake.
This is again Peristylus duthiei.
Sorry for mistake
Is the pink one S. sinensis or S.spiralis?
I see two different species on this thread. The images are attached with their names. Ofcourse Spiranthes is hairy and hence it could be Spiranthes spiralis.
I was concerned about S. spiranthes!
I just had a chance to look at Spiranthes in Orchids of Nepal by B.B.Raskoti. The ID is wrong and the plant in his pic is Spiranthes spiralis.

Beautiful flower. This should be Peristylus elisabethae. I need to recheck as I misidentified it on flowersofindia I assume.
I am extremely sorry I always get confused with this. This is Peristylus duthiei. Thanks for making me realise my mistake.

Orchidaceae : Diphylax urceolata (C.B.Cl.) Hook.f. : 5 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (2).
Date: 25 JULY, 2014
Location: Kalinchok, Dolakha District, East Nepal
Altitude : 11500 ft.
Please also check for Peristylus duthiei (Orchidaceae).
I am not sure this is Diphylax. I will recheck and confirm.
Yes I think this is Peristylus duthiei. I can see that Deva and Naithani actually have seen this variation in P. duthiei for which they made an illustration on page 182 of Orchid Flora of Northwest Himalaya.
Thank you for the proper ID of the plant Peristylus duthiei (Hook.f.) Deva & H.B.Naithani 1986.
Is Herinium duthiei Hook.f. synonym ?
Thats really an interesting question and I wasn't aware of it that they were merged.
Infact, I believe IT IS WRONG TO MERGE THEM. It has actually been merged by one Nepali guy ..., if you know him. He is currently working in China with ... Even ... from Kew was co-author, but both of them are currently out of station so I will wait for a while to write to them.
... has created many new species from Nepal which is absolutely wrong like Gastrochilus nepalensis which is Gastrochilus affine to me. Then Bulbophyllum nepalense which is actually Bulbophyllum retusiusculum and I had this plant in my garden. When I told him about the mistake his answer was, PLEASE STUDY THE ORIGINAL SPECIMEN PROPERLY. Infact I think it was he who should have studied properly and not me. I already have lot of work (I am already on the verge of completing one article where I have merged 23 names into  other 17 names) so if you or any other member are interested they can write an article to merge the above two species. But one task would be to find these two. Once Dr. Andre and Prof Jin are back in office I will ask them about your plant.
I am copying this to some members who can help you write these articles and of course I will help you.
For the time being you can keep your Peristylus duthiei as it is (which to me is correct or it can be changed to Herminium duthiei but not to Herminium josephii).
I am adding ... here too because I assume he has seen Peristylus duthiei, Herminium macrophyllum and Herminium jospehii live in the Himalayas. I am also adding ... here because he found Gastrochilus affinis in western Himalaya recently.
I will publish my next round of new synonyms may be after 6-7 months, so you guys have time to work on this.
