Submitting images of an epiphytic Oberonia sp for identification. I think this specimen is similar to the one that I had uploaded for ID assistance vide ref 12-8-2015_TSP_Orchid_Gutti. ... was kind enough to narrow down the ID to O.balakrishnanii and O.burnoniana.The two were sighted in about the same region
Date/time:22-8-2015/ About 3-00 pm
Location: Devaramane, Mudigere, Chikmagalur, Karnataka about 1400 msl
Habitat: Wild, Epiphytic
Habit: Herb.
Excellent set of photographs. Thanks ... for sharing.
Very beautiful closeup pics, hope to get id concluded.. thanks ... for showing beautiful plants !!
In my opinion, this isn't Oberonia brunoniana... but I am confused between O. josephii and O. balakrishnanii... I must acknowledge that you have provided excellent set of images but for species identification the sepals, petals are needed too...which are not clearly visible here.... Let us wait for comments from experts..
Most probably Oberonia chandrasekharanii or O. swaminathanii
