Himalaya to Thailand as per WCSP; Bangladesh; East Himalaya; Myanmar; Nepal; Thailand as per Catalogue of Life; Plant 15-20cm tall; roots piercing through leaf sheath, branched. Stem erect, covered by leaf sheaths straite, tubular-appressed, 1.5-2cm long. Leaves-oblong, slightly and obliquely bifid at ape x , sessile, jointed 7.5-12 x 0.5--.9cm. Inflorescence horizontal, la x ly 10-to15-flowered (only a few opening together); peduncle sheathes, 7-9mm long; rachis ridged, 4-8cm long; floral bracts ovate, acute, refle x ed, 2-2.5 x 1-1.6mm. Flower 1.2-1.8cm across; sepals and petals pink, lip yellow or white with yellow spot or markings; pedicel and ovary scurfy, 5-9mm long. Dorsal sepal refle x ed, broadly, adnate for about a third of their length to the column and connivent under it, 5-7 x 1.5-2mm. Petals oblong, obtuse, 4-5 x 1-1.5mm. Lip fleshy, adnate to the column base ( forming a right-angle with it), saccate, 5-7.5mm long; front wall cut away in upper part; sac opening ocluded by 2 large calluses from back and front walla; septate; lateral lobes(along mouth of spur) narrow, incurved; epichile minute, narrowly triangular, minutely 3-lobed.
