: Photo taken in Asansol (W.B.) India. Date: 22/06/11. This has come out in good numbers all having three to four leaves resembling that of ginger lily plant. Photo attached of the flowers and the complete plant. Requested to please give the ID.

By looking at the nodding inflorescence and terrestrial habit, I guess it is Geodorum densiflorum.

I think its Chlorophytum laxum.
Pls. confirm from morphological characters.

Very nice. Yes, this is Geodorum densiflorum, my favourite genus. Just one advice, please check the white balance (WB) of your camera. I think the brown colouration on your image is because of that. Otherwise, you always post excellent images. Please also email me some good images of Dendrobium panduratum as discussed on Facebook. I would like to use them in one of my manuscripts with due credits to you for the photograph IF YOU ALLOW.
I also feel ... images show much vivid colours in his postings than normal.
It may be due to his camera colour settings. It is better to keep it at normal for correct colour reproduction.

Tropidia angulosa (Lindley) Blume, Coll. Orchid. 122. 1859
I happened to come across this image where Mr. L.Rasingam has suggested Tropedia angulosa (Orchidaceae)
It looks like Geodorum densiflorum (Lam.) Schltr. (Family : Orchidaceae) a terrestrial orchid often seen in Wayanad.
Please see the following link to have a look at Tropedia angulosa
