Place: Yeoor Hills (part of Sanjay Gandhi National Park) ... about 1000 ft asl
Time: Jun 24, 2012 around 9.45am
Habit: herb
Habitat: rocky soil, deciduous forest
Plant height: about 50 - 60 cm

This is wonderful find. I too think this as Eulophia herbacea. Cool colours.
Really these were a pleasant surprise, and somewhere around this sighting were Eulophia ochreata too.
Both these made my day.
Very interesting and beautiful pic. I am always confused with this.
This surely looks like Eulophia herbacea but doesnt match with the herbacea I shared before.
Very interestingly there is another plant with looks similar, Eulophia bicallosa but it is not reported from Maharasta,
I will dig in further and get back.
Many thanks dear ...
Will consider my plant to be Eulophia herbacea; ... is sure about the ID.
Dont worry sir, I am also sure about your ID :))

Very nice pics. Not very common plant to see.
After visiting so many years at Chobhar it was my luck to find only one plant.

Yes this is strange plant. In Dehradun also, I found a single individual few years back.
