Coelogyne corymbosa Lindl., Fol. Orchid. 5: 7 1854. (Syn: Pleione corymbosa (Lindl.) Kuntze); ID CONFIRMATION REQUESTED: COELOGYNE CORYMBOSA. photograph from Eaglenest WLS, Arunachal during july 2012 This is very interesting. You can see the difference between Coelogyne corymbosa and Coelogyne ochracea. In corymbosa inflorescence arises from the apex of the so called bulb (terminal) whereas in ochracea the inflorescence is from the base (lateral). Thank you so much for your kind words and sharing knowledge. I compared with ... pic on FOI. It's very obvious. Location: Sandakphu, India Date: 14 May 2018 Altitude:6-8000 ft. Habit : Wild Rather long shot and rainy. Not a good quality image. However, I guess some Coelogyne sp. I think this is Coelogyne corymbosa (new inflorescence and shoot come out together and the bulbs are less than 5cm long). References: The Plant List |
