I hope Oenothera speciosa
O.speciosa has linear leaves. My pictures show leaves different than linear. The flower image perfectly matches though. Can it be Oenothera tetraptera or O.kunthiana?
O. speciosa has oblanceolate to obovate leaves.
More important it is a day flowering species whereas both O. kunthiajna and O. tetraptera are evening flowering. Perhaps the timing of your photograph can clinch the issue.
This clears the doubt. It has to be Oenothera speciosa
I have captured it at noon Mid day.
The other ones above are therefore called as ? Evening Primrose Secondly I thought the leaves are always linear but it is not so. One more question...Is O.speciosa same as O.rosea

you already had one. yes
I think I got the name when I had posted it on Eflora.
I have deleted my earlier mails. Is there any method by which I can find my earlier post of this plant?
its easy
go to: Indiatrrepix group site: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!forum/indiantreepix
and search for oenthera and your name
you'll get three: one this thread and two older threads
this is one is the true thread and a lot of discussion and second one is : not relevant a weed thread.
