Species with description & keys from Flora of Pakistan (Distribution): Oenothera affinis Cambess. in St. Hilaire (Native in South America from Bolivia and Brazil south to central Argentina and Valparaiso, Chile. Widely naturalized in Europe, Australia, Africa, Asia, and the Hawaiian Island. Not common in Pakistan) Oenothera glazioviana Micheli in Martius (Widely distributed, but not known as a native plant anywhere, now naturalized on all continents except Antarctica; apparently not extensively naturalized in Pakistan at present) Oenothera rosea L' Her. ex Ait. (Native from central and southern Texas, USA, throughout Mexico and Central America to El Salvador, and throughout South America; naturalized throughout the warmer regions of the world. According to Stewart (loc. cit. 508. 1972), O. rosea is an old introduction from Mexico, which has run wild in many areas of Pakistan.
