Syringa emodi Wall. ex Royle (Oleaceae) is a small tree in upper montane forests of Uttarakhand.
It is common and offers a beautiful flowering in June.
Here photographed in Sunderdhunga valley (timberline area), Bageshwar District of Uttarakhand.

Small tree for ID: 011111 SRANA 01 Tree from Paddar Valley Kishtwar J&K: Request for identification
Date: 2nd August 2011
Location: Barnaj Nallah in Paddar Kishtwar J&K.
Altitude: 3021 meters asl
GPS: 33.42 N and 76.34 S
Plant Habit/habitat: Wild small tree
Plant height: 2-5 meters
Could this be a species belong to the family Oleaceae?
Appears to be some Olea
I guess the picture is of Syringa emodi.
