Olax imbricata - a large much branched unarmed scandent shrub or small tree with 2 cm. drupes oblong or subglobose, covered except at the top by the accrescent calyx. It is found at Amboli, Khandala, Mumbra, Pune, Tungar & Khopoli. 2. Olax psittacorum [previously O.scandens] – a climbing, much branched shrub armed with slightly curved stout prickles on the old woody branches. It bears drupes which are globose, 9 mm in diam., apiculate, covered except at the top by the accrescent calyx. It is seen at Amboli, Khandala, Mumbra, Satpuda, Aurangabad & near Nagpur. Thanks, ... Please check for species of Drypetes is it mimosups elengi...bakul? 100% this is not mimosups elengi Ficus benjamina the photo of the fruiting tree you posted on eflora of India is Olax imbricata. It's actually more of a rambling/climbing shrub. The fruits are sweet and edible. References:
