Yes these images looks similar to E.roxburghii only; the fruit is similar to E. roxburghii; this plant is quiet common in shores around Chennai The specimen of E roxburghii found in FOI do not match with my specimen. The young branch is ferruginous in my specimen and the fruits are reddish (not deep orange) Does Eugenia reinwardtiana has any distribution in Tamilnadu floras? You may check with images in efi site. Apart from that I know E roxburghii in Auroville Botanical Garden. Although it's cultivated it tastes same as it's natural habitat. The shape of fruits also differs.
