Gymnacranthera canarica

Vulnerable as per IUCN Red List (VU)

Gymnacranthera canarica (King) Warb., Nova Acta Acad. Caes. Leop.-Carol. German. Nat. Cur. 68: 368 1897. (Syn: Myristica canarica Bedd. ex King);

Common name: Kanara Nutmeg • Kannada: Pindi • Malayalam: Pintikkaya; Udaipami; Undaipanu; Undapayin

Kerala, just extending into South Kanara in Karnataka.
Collected from widely scattered locations in the 19th century, the species had not been collected for almost a century and was suspected of being extinct until recently. Remaining
subpopulations appear to be extremely rare and restricted. Further detailed information may indicate that a more serious threat category is appropriate. The seeds have been mistaken for nutmeg.
A large tree found in lowland moist dense forest.

Do you have any other images of this plant ? If so, pl. post.
here are all pictures of Gymnacranthera canarica I have ...
5 images.

There seems to be some kind of mix-up at Biotik ... listed as Malayalam names of Gymnacranthera canarica - however written in Tamil script.
Please help to know whether they are Malayalam / Tamil.

Let me express my opinion here:
Biotik says the Malayalam names as:
Pintikkaya; Udaipami; Undaipanu; Undapayin which when transcribed to Malayalam would look like respectively as:
പിണ്ടിക്കായ; ഉഡൈപാമി; ഉണ്ടൈപാനു: ഉണ്ടപ്പൈൻ
of which one is OK, second and third can never be Malayalam and the fourth one is very good for Malayalam

Thank you very very much, ... for providing clarity.
