In fact it is not 'mamsarohini' but "Mamsa Rohini" as it is having miraculous effect on seventh (i.e. deepest) layer of skin known as Rohini. In many parts of India, that's why it is known as Rohina. There are over 100 Sanskrit names of Soymida febrifuga and also At least 10 different plant species are known as "Mamsa Rohini" along with Soymida due to its effect on skin.
