As per Catalogue of life(2017) Pavonia burchellii (DC.) R.A.Dyer, Bull. Misc. Inform. Kew 1932: is not an Indian species; the specimen in the efi site is Pavonia procumbens only as per Catalogue of life; the reference you have cited dates back 1996; why not it be reconsidered. As Catalogue of Life does not give any references, we have to dig in further, if we have to change the decision in the matter. Under the species page of Pavonia on th efi website, there seems to be two species clubbed under the name Pavonia burchelli. The one with white corolla and purple throat is likely to be a different species. Perhaps a species of Hibiscus? Also the names P. burchellii and P. procumbens seem to be synonyms according to Shashidharan's Flowering Plants of Kerala Thanks, ...
