Magnolia species

Magnolia id please: Shot in Neighbours' garden, Bangalore
id help appreciated
Magnolia grandiflora
Not Magnolia grandiflora please
Should be Talauma mutabilis
I had not come across the name Talauma mutabilis before.
Cannot keep up with all the name changes!
It might be better known under the old name Magnolia lilifera var lilifera.

Looks similar to Magnolia coco,
I'll await input from others though.

Better than that...
I need to see the open flower and preferably the fruit pod shape.... there is a bewildering number of hybrids...
It does not open completely mam. This is a very short lived flower..the petals fall off the very next day..
then its not a magnolia grandiflora...
ps... take pictures of what remains after the petals fall off and do a follow up ... watch the tree...to see what develops...
it may be?? Egg Magnolia (Talauma candollei)

cant tell!
need to see the tree, leaves, bark, habit, and most essentially the seedpod...
i dont want to play a guessing game.... wont be accurate....
people who specialize in magnolias and their hybridization and take it very seriously would laugh at us .... because we would be very far from the base...
just like a gland made up of malignant cells is an adeno...
but of what organ of orirgin??? ... cant be forecast with any accuracy... quite the same with just the small flower portrait, it does not lend itself to a firm diagnosis...
