Taxillus tomentosus (Roth) Tieghem is a parasitic plant and as far as I know it's non green by nature!!! Please go through the description of the plant from the "The revised handbook of the flora of Ceylon" in link will provide you better information regarding this angiospermic plant belonging to the family Loranthaceae. Dassanayake, Francis Raymond Fosberg,the parasite is difficult to confirm as Taxillus tomentosus (Heyne ex Roth) Tieghem of Loranthaceae. because 1. the bracts are not 3 - 5mm longer 2. petiole not 5 - 7cm long Members, please recheck this parasite. It is a hemi-parasitic plant as they can take food from both Xylem as well as Phloem. They also synthesize food in their own green leaves.
