flowering plant for id: Kindly identify this flowering potted plant in my garden I have just got it a few days back from a local roadside nursery and the man knows nothing about this plant I suppose it is Torenia fourneri form scrophulariaceae.

Torenia fournieri Linden ex E.Fourn. is rarely seen wild herb in Pantnagar though it is an invasive alien species in India. Now it is in the family Linderniaceae. Lovely picture of a beautiful plant ... , yes this is probably a case of introduction as an ornamental.. thanks...

For Validation-Torenia fournieri "Catalina Pink" from Dharamshala:: NS NOV 01 : 2 posts by 2 authors. Attachments (3). yes wishbone flower... look closely a wishbone appears on the two petals... further classification of cultivar ...dont know... how to do using digital photos... where pink / red colors vary greatly to my eyes at least ..so take your pick at to the cultivars name. SInce its a garden escape, and Dharamshala is full of americans it may well be catalina pink that someone brought in and planted Thanks ... for detailed views on this and confirmation too...
