Hooghly - might be Vandellia hirsuta Benth, : Attachments (6). 4 posts by 3 authors.
This is from Serampore (recorded today- 26.8.13), Hooghly, Flowers are as small as my previous upload, but the plant is not as succulent and seems to be slightly hairy.
Is it not same as in your other post: Hooghly - Vandellia multiflora G. Don ? (Identified as Lindernia viscosa (Hornem.) Merr.)
I fail to understand how a glabrous plant, and with different sepal-to-capsule ratio can be grouped into a single taxon, viscosa.
I think, besides glabrous, other salient differences are 1) leaf margin [crenate/sinuate vs. serrate] 2) in this plant orbicular capsule is smaller than sepals (a 2in1 plate + key attached).
Less important point, as i have observed, this plant is rather less succulent (it might be due to less humid soil).
